Yard WorkerThe Yard Worker supports day-to-day operations in a car auction yard by performing outdoor general labor, handling automotive parts, and using digital tools to document inventory. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outside in all weather conditions, is comfortable with physical tasks, and can reliably maintain strong attendance.ResponsibilitiesWork outdoors in a car auction yard throughout the entire shift, regardless of weather conditions.Handle and move automotive parts such as tires, bumpers, hoods, and similar components safely and efficiently.Use devices such as tablets or iPads to take clear, accurate photos of automotive parts and vehicles.Upload photos and related information into the designated system, ensuring accuracy and completeness.Perform general yard work and general labor tasks as assigned, including organizing and staging vehicles or parts.Use basic hand tools as needed for yard and general production activities.Follow all safety guidelines and procedures while working in the yard and handling parts.Maintain consistent and reliable attendance, arriving on time and ready to work each scheduled shift.Support construction, production, or general production-related tasks in the yard as required.Essential SkillsAbility to work outdoors at all times in a car auction yard environment.Capability to lift and move automotive parts such as tires, bumpers, hoods, and similar items.Comfort using devices such as tablets or iPads to take photos and upload them into a system.Basic proficiency with digital tools and systems for uploading images and information.Experience with general labor, yard work, or similar physically demanding roles.Ability to use hand tools safely for general yard and production tasks.Strong reliability and commitment to attendance, with a focus on being consistently present and punctual.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in general labor, construction, production, or general production work.Experience working in outdoor environments for extended periods of time.Familiarity with automotive parts and components used in vehicles.Comfort working in a fast-paced yard or industrial setting.Attention to detail when documenting and photographing parts for system uploads.Why Work Here?You will join a contract opportunity that offers consistent outdoor work and the chance to stay active throughout the day. The setting is active and physically demanding, and attire should be practical and suitable for outdoor, hands-on work.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Knoxville, TN.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
