As a Patient Access Representative, you’ll: 

• Serve as the first point of contact for patients, families, and visitors, delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring accurate and efficient patient registration 
• Accurately register patients for Emergency Department, Inpatient, Outpatient, Surgical, and Specialty Services
  • Gather necessary data, enter appropriate data into computer-Epic, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed and appropriately signed by patient in order to register and admit patient for inpatient or outpatient services. 
• Verify patient demographics and insurance eligibility, obtain required authorizations and signatures, collect applicable payments, and maintain compliance 
• Provide patients with information on physicians, directions to locations, required pre-testing, educational materials, and any other items prior to service

What you’ll bring: 

• 1+ years of experience in medical office, hospital, medical call center or other customer service environment 

  • EPIC experience highly preferred

  • Knowledge of health insurance concepts preferred

• High school diploma or GED 

• Strong attention to detail with exceptional data entry accuracy

• High level of professionalism

• Passion for helping others 

• Ability to think quickly and problem solve
