Medical Laboratory Technician (Hiring Immediately)

Please note that this position is onsite and therefore requires the ability to commute to Covenant Children’s Hospital in Lubbock, TX.

The Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) employs professional knowledge and judgment to perform technical, physical, clerical, and quality assurance functions in the department.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate’s Degree in Basic Science or equivalent education/experience
• MLT (ASCP) Certification or must have completed training with Core Leader or staff lead and completed the competencies checklist (non-blood bank facilities)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP)
• 6 months of clinical laboratory experience in a hospital setting

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
