School Speech Language Pathologist - Houston, Texas

Step into an impactful contract opportunity providing speech-language pathology services in a dynamic school environment near Houston, TX. This assignment spans the academic year, offering a 40-hour workweek from August 2026 through early June 2027. With an average caseload of approximately 60 students, youll make a meaningful difference in students communication and academic success. While most placements involve working at a single school, there may be occasions where your skills support two different campuses. If you hold your CCCs, overseeing and guiding support staff may be a part of your role, ensuring the highest quality of services. Qualifications and Preferred Experience: Possess a current Texas SLP license ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) strongly preferred, but Clinical Fellows (CFs) are welcome to apply Proven experience in school-based speech-language pathology Comfortable supervising support staff if CCC is held Strong communication and organizational abilities Passion for working with diverse student populations Key Responsibilities: Assess, diagnose, and treat communication disorders within a school setting Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Accurately document student progress and maintain compliance with state and federal regulations Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families for optimal student outcomes Offer guidance and support to SLPA staff as needed Deliver direct and consultative SLP services across one or occasionally two campuses In this role, youll work onsite among a network of dedicated professionals dedicated to student support.
