Job Description

As a Security Officer Asset Protection in Reston, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Security Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors, report security-related concerns, and contribute to a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, offices, common areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, and maintain accurate activity logs and incident documentation.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
