Ammonia Refrigeration Technician - 1st Shift

Ammonia TechnicianWe offer a competitive wage and wide array of benefits including:health/dental/vision insuranceflex spending accountsshort & long-term disabilitypaid holidays and vacationbonus opportunities (referral, production, etc.)Job Duties and Responsibilities:Operate, monitor, and maintain industrial ammonia refrigeration systems supporting high-volume food productionPerform maintenance on high-pressure boilers, air compressors, and air handlersService HVAC and refrigeration equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operationsTroubleshoot mechanical and refrigeration issues to minimize downtimeFollow and enforce IIAR, OSHA, and plant safety proceduresBe able to perform work duties while not supervised and report them to their supervisorHigh background in low voltage, 480 volt electricBe able to recognize the refrigeration system is out of parameters and take corrective action to fix the issueMinimum Qualifications:Has completed or is working on a 2-year trades degree and/or 4 years of plant maintenance experienceHigh school diploma or equivalentMust be 18 years of ageAble to read, write and speak English. Bilingual capabilities are a plusAble to communicate and take direction from Sanitation Manager and communicate effectively with line workers, Leads, Supervisors and Plant ManagerAttention to detailLegible record-keeping and data entry skillsMust be highly motivated, flexible and have creative problem-solving abilitiesAble to handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyWelding and fabrication, full understanding of 3 Phase electrical, tree phase motor controls. Troubleshoot AC & DC drivesWork Environment and Physical Requirements:Manufacturing environment - exposure to a variety of machines, noise levels, and varying temperaturesDepending on which location, our environments can be very warm or refrigeratedTeam environment - must be able to work well with others and communicate in a respectful and professional mannerAbility to regularly lift and/or move up to 60 poundsMay be required to work weekend and night hours to fill in as neededStarting Pay: Ammonia Technician $39.00/hr. A shift differential is offered for 3rd shift opportunities. We offer a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees including health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the 90th day of employment.This information is provided per the relevant state and local pay transparency laws for the location in which this position will be performed.
