Introduction
Our client is a hospital providing comprehensive veterinary care for dogs and cats and is seeking a full-time Medical Director to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced veterinarian to lead an AAHA-accredited hospital committed to delivering exceptional patient care while fostering a supportive, collaborative environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining clinical excellence, mentoring the veterinary team, and driving the continued success of the hospital.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will provide clinical leadership while maintaining an active caseload, setting the standard for high-quality veterinary medicine and client service. Responsibilities include mentoring and developing associate veterinarians, partnering with the Practice Manager to support a healthy and engaged team, leading doctor meetings, overseeing mentorship and externship programmes, and promoting a culture of collaboration and professional growth. The role also involves helping to develop the hospital's operating plan, supporting hospital performance, ensuring compliance with medical and DEA regulations, and representing the hospital within the local community. The Medical Director will provide comprehensive small animal care, including wellness and preventative medicine, urgent care services, diagnostics, advanced care, and surgical procedures. This opportunity is suited to an experienced veterinarian with strong leadership skills and a passion for developing teams.

Practice Details
This AAHA-accredited small animal hospital is dedicated to providing high-quality veterinary care for dogs and cats, including urgent care services for the local community. The hospital maintains the highest standards of medicine, with its protocols, facilities, and equipment routinely evaluated through AAHA accreditation. Services include urgent care, wellness and preventative care, testing and diagnostics, advanced care, and surgical procedures. The practice also provides access to internal specialty consultations and additional clinical resources to support the management of complex cases and continued professional development. The hospital operates Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Saturday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and is closed on Sundays. The practice is committed to fostering a culture of education, mentorship, collaboration, and clinical excellence while supporting long-term career development.

The hospital is supported by a team of 4 DVMs and a great tenured support team. The collaborative environment places a strong emphasis on mentorship, professional development, teamwork, and delivering exceptional standards of patient care.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
