Valuation Managing Consultant - Corporate Finance

BRG Transaction and Valuation Opinions provides valuation services in support of transaction opinions, portfolio valuation, tax and financial reporting, litigation, and special situations such as restructuring and bankruptcy support. Our clients include leading hedge funds, private‑equity funds, venture capital funds, limited partners, lenders, corporations, boards of directors, independent directors, and attorneys. We seek individuals with proven management skills, strong financial modeling capabilities, and the ability to work collaboratively with industry specialists. The individual will work under senior management consulting professionals on a broad range of valuation engagements and will be expected to grow into leadership roles. Responsibilities Technical Analyze historical and projected financial information. Develop detailed financial models to value companies and complex securities. Direct junior staff in developing detailed financial models. Efficiently manage the aggregation and organization of large data sets in Microsoft Excel. Leverage financial and market data software platforms such as Capital IQ and Bloomberg. Present thorough valuation analyses to clients. Experience with option pricing models (Black‑Scholes) and/or MonteCarlo simulation is preferred. Quality Consistently meet client deadlines and quality expectations. Maintain an organized, methodical, and professional demeanor. Take ownership of work product, including analyses developed by junior staff. Exceptional attention to detail. Communication Communicate project status and results internally and externally. Effectively manage junior staff project deadlines. Demonstrate strong report‑writing skills. Teamwork and Leadership Participate in a team environment and collaborate toward team goals. Seek opportunities for practice‑development projects and personal leadership development. Business and Personal Development Actively participate in BRG’s business‑development activities, including client meetings and presentations. Expand network with clients to become a trusted advisor. Qualifications A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Five to seven years of prior valuation work experience, preferably with a national accounting firm or valuation firm. Experience leading development and completion of client‑ready valuation deliverables (or similar). Progress toward an ASA designation or similar designation is viewed favorably.
