Job Description:

We are seeking a Tooling Technician with experience in tooling design, mold development, maintenance, and troubleshooting. The candidate will design and modify molds, jigs, and fixtures, perform Design for Manufacturability (DFM) evaluations, validate molding designs, and resolve tooling issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and engineer moderately complex tooling, including molds, jigs, and fixtures, according to product specifications and manufacturing requirements.
• Participate in tooling design reviews and recommend design improvements.
• Perform Design for Manufacturability (DFM) evaluations to identify potential manufacturing issues and improve product manufacturability.
• Validate molding designs and support tooling qualification, sampling, and final part approval.
• Troubleshoot tooling issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Perform tooling maintenance, repairs, modifications, and improvements to ensure reliable production operations.
• Recommend and implement cost-effective tooling design changes to improve performance, quality, and efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and other cross-functional teams throughout the tooling development and qualification process.
• Prepare and provide tooling status reports, including progress updates, issues, and corrective actions.
• Prepare, update, and maintain documentation related to tooling designs, modifications, maintenance activities, and tool-room equipment.
• Ensure tooling and equipment meet applicable safety, quality, and operational requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience in tooling design, tooling development, maintenance, or troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of molds, jigs, fixtures, and related manufacturing tooling.
• Experience with molding design, tooling validation, and troubleshooting tooling-related issues.
• Understanding of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles.
• Hands-on experience with tooling maintenance, repair, and modification.
• Ability to analyze tooling problems and recommend effective corrective actions.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Experience preparing technical reports and maintaining engineering documentation.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Pay Scale-

Anticipated hourly pay range: specific range such as ($40/hr to $45/hr).
