Compensation Analyst

HR Specialist

Pay Range: $35/hr to $40/hr

Location: Mettawa, IL 60045

Work Type: Hybrid

Contract Duration: 06 months with possible extension

Job Summary: Support the Total Rewards Excellence team in delivering consistent and competitive compensation practices across the organization. Analyze compensation and employee data to support internal equity, market competitiveness, and accurate pay decisions. Provide routine guidance to Human Resources and Talent Acquisition partners within established compensation guidelines. Maintain high standards of data accuracy, reporting, documentation, and process consistency. Support annual rewards activities, benchmarking initiatives, job evaluations, and other compensation projects in a fast paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop compensation offer recommendations for external hires and internal moves, including base salary, incentive programs, sign on programs, and other cash based programs.
• Conduct audits across HRIS systems to validate employee compensation data and ensure accuracy.
• Maintain Total Rewards tools by running reports, updating data, and ensuring information remains current.
• Provide routine advisory support to Business Human Resources and Talent Acquisition partners regarding compensation matters within established guidelines.
• Support job evaluations and benchmarking activities to recommend appropriate grades and job codes while maintaining accurate documentation.
• Support annual rewards cycles, promotion compensation activities, survey submissions, and salary structure activities.
• Gather and synthesize compensation market data from published sources to evaluate competitive positioning.
• Assist with ad hoc compensation projects and other Total Rewards initiatives as directed.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Analytics, or a related field.
• Two to four years of relevant experience supporting compensation programs and broad based compensation administration.
• Advanced Excel proficiency including pivot tables and troubleshooting advanced formulas.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and identify trends.
• Strong attention to detail with a demonstrated commitment to data accuracy and validation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently within established guidelines and perform effectively in a fast paced and changing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Workday or HRSoft HRIS systems.
• Experience with Power BI or similar data analytics software.
• Experience supporting market benchmarking and compensation survey activities.
