As one of the largest independent valuation practices in the country, we provide specialized experience across a broad spectrum of industries.You will work closely with senior team members to develop foundational valuation skills while contributing to well-supported analyses for engagements involving personal property, complex property, and special income generating tangible assets.Renewable Energy Industry Focus: Solar, Wind, Biomass, Hydroelectric, Battery Storage, and Hydrogen projects.What You'll DoPerform valuations of renewable energy projects for project finance, tax, financial reporting, and portfolio valuation purposes.Perform field inspections when required as part of a valuation project.Participate in client or management meetings providing substantive input on valuation methodologies, assumptions and conclusions.Prepare comprehensive deliverables and supporting analysis including presentations, analysis packets, and written narrative reports that are submitted for review by our senior level professionals and delivery to our clients.Use AI-enabled tools and emerging technologies to improve research, analysis, and deliverable preparation while following firm standards.What You Bring0-2 years of relevant internship or professional experience.4-year degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or other quantitative discipline.Ability to travel.Foundational understanding of financial theory, economics, accounting principles, and financial statement analysis.Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a genuine interest in renewable energy.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; ability to build organized analyses and clearly document workpapers.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to summarize findings clearly and professionally.High attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and a willingness to ask thoughtful questions.Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and respond effectively to feedback.Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, and accountability for work quality.Professional presence and ability to build productive relationships with clients, colleagues and leadership.Coursework, internship, or project experience involving valuation and renewable energy is preferred but not required.Work toward professional designations such as ASA and/or CFA.Familiarity with or interest in using AI tools and technology to improve productivity, research, and analysis.Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.How You'll ThriveTake ownership of assigned engagement workstreams, manage priorities, and follow issues through resolution.Apply sound professional judgment to valuation assumptions, research findings, and analytical results.Build relationships with clients and colleagues through clear communication and dependable execution.Take ownership of assigned work and deliver high-quality results with precision and care.Communicate clearly, ask effective questions, and incorporate feedback to support team and client objectives.Demonstrate a growth mindset and a genuine willingness to develop technical, analytical, and client-service skills.Embody Stout's core values by being Positive and Team-Oriented, Accountable, Committed, Entrepreneurial, Relationship-Focused, Super-Responsive, and a Great Communicator.Deliver Relentless Excellence through disciplined execution, strong client service, and a commitment to the quality of your work and the experience of your colleagues.Why Stout?At Stout, we offer a comprehensive Total Rewards program with competitive compensation, benefits, and wellness options tailored to support employees at every stage of life.We foster a culture of inclusion and respect, embracing diverse perspectives and experiences to drive innovation and success. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.A reasonable estimate of the current range is $74,000.00 - $135,000.00 Annual.
