Human Resources Manager

The Human Resources Manager at Bolder Foods is an onsite role in Niwot, CO, overseeing the full scope of HR operations for a fast-moving workforce. Reporting to the CFO, this position supports the company’s variable labor needs throughout the year while leading HR execution across onboarding, terminations, investigations, workers’ compensation, payroll, and compliance. You will manage end-to-end HR functions and ensure policies, documentation, and reporting are completed accurately and on time, including Health and Safety support. The role also includes building process efficiencies, partnering with leadership on benefits renewal changes, and leading a small team responsible for recruiting coordination. What you’ll do Manage recruitment for exempt and nonexempt roles to support smooth transitions during ramp up and RIFs. Lead annual job fair marketing and management. Draft job descriptions and obtain approvals for posting. Produce and maintain weekly reporting for headcount, labor needs, and attrition dashboards for Management. Escalate HR issues and provide weekly HR issue reporting. Identify obstacles to progress, propose solutions, and adapt strategies when current approaches are not working. Maintain complete and accurate employee files, including E-Verify non-conformance handling and FAMLI leave arrangements. Identify employee issues, prioritize, solve, and/or redirect as appropriate while maintaining clear boundaries to ensure HR work is completed. Support employees, including seasonal workers , through HR processes and guidance. Lead terminations by assessing risk, completing required documentation, and managing unemployment claims. Support Management with performance improvement plans when needed. Complete investigations and related documentation timely. Administer Workers’ Compensation, including annual audits , and track claims start to finish with timely responses to service provider queries. Ensure timely OSHA required posting and filings. Maintain FAMLI compliance . Draft accurate biweekly payroll , ensuring new employee setup, timely updates for terminated employees, accurate time card adjustments, pro-rated salary payments for partial work weeks, and correct processing for raises, garnishments, advances, reimbursements, deductions, withholding, paid time off, and holidays. Serve as an integral part of the Safety committee by providing timely reporting on potential issues and suggested fixes. Ensure HR compliance with customer requirements . Manage company organization charts and the employee directory. Enforce personnel policies and procedures. Identify necessary policy or process changes and recommend how to roll them out with approval from the Executive Team. Gather, evaluate, and collaborate with the CFO to drive best outcome on annual benefit renewal changes. Use AI prompts to improve efficiencies and processes, including researching and checking AI results as necessary. Manage a HR Coordinator and Seasonal Recruiting Specialist . Lead employee appreciation party and meeting planning. Perform other related duties as assigned. Requirements Accountability for all HR processes. Ability to meet deadlines, maintain urgency when needed, and consistently organize, prioritize, and communicate HR department status. Problem-solving approach to software usage and record-keeping in various apps using recommended best practices. Change management experience. Proven discretion and ethical behavior. Ability to advocate for employees while considering organizational best interests. Ability to work independently once trained, with responsive and timely follow-up. Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization and foster a positive, productive environment through teamwork. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience. 5+ years of HR generalist experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a food and beverage manufacturing environment. PHR or SPHR certification preferred. Experience working with a diverse workforce preferred. Proficiency with business software including Google Suite, Adobe, and MS Office ; Paychex knowledge preferred. English-Spanish bilingual preferred; if not fluent, willingness to use available technology to communicate with all employees. Reporting & location Reporting to: HR Recruiter/Coordinator, seasonal Recruiting Specialist. Work location: In person (Niwot, CO). Compensation & eligibility Salary: USD 115,000 - 135,000 per year.
