Position: Audit Intern Location: Cleveland or Akron, OH Duration: January - April 2027 Compensation: Paid Internship About The Role As an Audit Intern, you'll gain hands‑on experience working alongside our Assurance team. You'll participate in a variety of audit engagements, developing your skills in identifying discrepancies, trends, and risks in financial reporting, participating in field work, and client service. This internship is designed to provide real‑world exposure to public accounting and prepare you for a successful career in the field. What You’ll Do Assist in the execution of audit procedures for a variety of clients and industries Perform substantive testing of account balances and transactions Support the preparation of workpapers and audit documentation Assist in the preparation of GAAP‑compliant financial statements Participate in team meetings and client communications Travel to client sites as needed for fieldwork and relationship‑building Gain exposure to various accounting systems and internal control environments Collaborate with staff and senior accountants to ensure timely and accurate deliverables Take part in training and learning opportunities to deepen your understanding of audit processes The experience gained as an intern during "busy season" is the equivalent of a first-year associate Requirements Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Accounting Progress towards CPA eligibility Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft ExcelAvailability to work up to 40 hours per week, with the potential for overtime Eagerness to learn, grow, and contribute to a team‑oriented environment Why Join Pease Bell?
