Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring ACLS, NRP certification, and a WA or compact RN license.

Details

• Level 3 NICU facility supporting antepartum, laboring, and post-partum patients requiring higher-level care
• Unit averages about 200 deliveries per month
• 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend rotation as needed
• No mandatory call
• Floating to Mother Baby unit required
• Uses EPIC EMR

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required; ALSO certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• Independent IV starts and lab draws from IV start
• Accurate vaginal exam skills
• Labor support experience
• Fetal monitor strip interpretation according to NICHD guidelines
• Strong multi-tasking and communication skills
• Comfortable asking questions and adapting quickly to a new unit
• Experience required to serve as 2nd RN in OR if assigned to that role
• Circulating duties only assigned if previous experience present

Additional Information

• Travelers are not typically assigned to the triage role
• Scrubs provided in navy blue; must change into scrubs at the hospital
• Free parking available
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
