Physical Therapist

Role Overview Rehabilitation team members are licensed or certified physical therapists who work within a team structure to offer inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation services. These services are offered to patients with traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, stroke, neurogenic disorders, orthopedic problems, burns, amputations, or chronic pain across the acute-care hospital, the acute-inpatient rehabilitation facility (Dodd Hall), and outpatient service sites. Team members report to rehabilitation team leaders as part of the Rehabilitation Services Division structure. Responsibilities Assess patients and develop care plans in collaboration with the team. Provide a wide variety of treatment techniques. Educate and support patients and families. Facilitate continuing care planning. Evaluate quality of services and participate in outcomes management activities. Collaborate with supervising staff, physicians, nurses, support staff, and Patient Care Resource Managers to coordinate care. Minimum Education and Qualifications Bachelor's level degree from an accredited institution. Licensed or certified physical therapist with required educational and/or certification requirements. Physical therapists must hold a bachelor's degree. Patient Population Served Infants (0 – 6 months) Children (7 months – 13 years) Adolescents (14 – 17 years) Adults (18 – 64 years) Geriatrics (65+ years) Additional Requirements Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check.
