Community Representative

Overview Advarra is seeking community representatives for an oversight panel (IBC) that reviews clinical trials, particularly for gene therapy. Community members represent interests of the community and the environment surrounding the research site. Qualifications Live near a population center where research will take place Have a computer with access to the internet (all meetings held online) Have experience in any of the following sectors, preferred: science, healthcare, environmental health, occupational safety, or emergency response Compensation and Responsibilities Training provided, with compensation for completion of online training Payment for each meeting attended Flexible meeting times; meetings are scheduled as needed, based on member availability Remotely attend assigned meetings via videoconference Participate in relevant discussions during committee meetings and vote on each item In addition to receiving compensation, Community Members gain the satisfaction of making an altruistic contribution to biomedical research and obtain insight to cutting-edge developments in therapeutic areas!
