Position Overview Title: PM QA/QC Technician Reports To: QA/QC Manager Location: Stuart, FL Type: Full‑Time | Onsite | Non‑Exempt Job Summary The Quality Assurance/Quality Control Technician’s responsibility is to ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and guidelines, meet customer expectations, and uphold internal quality and food safety standards and policies. Primary Functions Inspect inbound/outbound product Take temperatures and cultures of product Document all inspections and data as needed Perform assigned tasks related to quality and food safety Ensure company products are safe, meet or exceed quality standards, and fully comply with food regulations Monitor and enforce organic handling practices Conduct Critical Control Point testing of HACCP program Operate PAA pumps, sanitizing outlets, and perform testing to assure organic wash requirements are met Operate chlorine pumps, sanitizing outlets, and perform testing to assure chlorination wash requirements are met Sample pulling for shelf life, microbiological, and customer requirements Pre‑Operational testing of sanitation, including ATP testing of surfaces and evaluation of cleaning practices Monitor and test all metal detection units to ensure metal‑free production Perform packaging and seal testing for various container types such as vacuum, pressure, or bubble testing Calibrate weight scales, thermometers, and all applicable testing tools or detectors Monitor GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) to ensure a food‑safe environment Enforce color coding; sanitation, organics, allergens, or others as required Manage hold and release program Manage rework program Evaluate shelf‑life and conduct sensory testing as required Maintain paperwork filing Work with other cleaning chemicals Perform other duties as required Physical Requirements Stand, sit, or walk for long periods of time Frequent use of hands for firm grasping and writing Occasional bending, stopping, reaching, and climbing Occasional lifting or carrying 5 to 50 pounds Occasional use of cutting utensils (e.g., knives, peeler) Exposure to product fumes such as onions, peppers, etc. Exposure to temperatures 45°F or lower Exposure to chemicals such as chlorine Work overtime as required Perform other duties as required Skills & Requirements Food quality inspection experience; produce experience preferred Good communication skills, including basic written and spoken English, to ensure understanding of safety procedures and documentation Computer skills: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Office suite Industry specific knowledge of HACCP HACCP certification or participation in HACCP training Ability to follow complex verbal and written instructions and work independently to evaluate and resolve quality‑related problems, identify and communicate short‑term remedial actions High level of problem‑solving skills Company Benefits 401(k) Health, dental, vision insurance and more Paid time off (PTO) The company reserves the right to alter, amend, expand, or contract these duties and responsibilities as its needs evolve. #J-18808-Ljbffr Pero Family Farms Food Company LLC
