Part-Time Server Opportunity

Native Oaks Golf Club, located in Valley Center, CA, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a part-time server! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you'll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Pay: $16.90 – $17.90 per hour

General Purpose: Serves guests food and beverage items in a prompt, professional and courteous manner. Creates memorable dining experiences through personalized and genuine interactions.

Essential Duties:

• Provide immediate attention to all guests upon seating
• Describe specials of the day to guests; answer questions regarding any menu item and offer suggestions when appropriate
• Take food and beverage orders from guests and deliver food promptly after preparation
• Follow up with guests to ensure satisfaction and replenish items as needed
• Participate in pre-shift meetings and taste tests
• Maintain an organized workstation and side work duties
• Accountable for checks and cash transactions; utilize Point of Sale system
• Follow established systems for taking, placing, and delivering orders
• Follow established standards for greeting, cocktail service, food delivery and general service techniques
• Practice tray service for all food and beverage service
• Incorporate safe work practices in job performance
• Regular and reliable attendance
• Perform other duties as required

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and minimum of one year of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Meets state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages
• 1+ years of server experience
• 1+ years of experience with a restaurant POS software platform
• Open availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays and at times extended hours

Physical Demands: Frequently stands and walks; uses hands; reaches with arms and hands; stoops, kneels, crawls or crouches; talks or hears. Occasionally sits; climbs or balances. Frequently lifts up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds. Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions. Noise level is moderate.

Certificates/Licenses: Food Safety and Sanitation Training and Alcohol Awareness Training.

Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:

• Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associate may be required to communicate with English-speaking customers or co-workers; manuals for the equipment the associate may use are in English)
• Knowledge of POS system
• Must have legible handwriting
• A patient and customer-oriented approach
• Excellent people skills with a friendly attitude
• Responsible and trustworthy
