Interns provide support with students in academic activities, classroom supervision and participate in lesson plans. This is a summer - only internship. The expectation is that you do not miss any days during summer school. Must be available to work starting, but not limited to,June 1st - June26th. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Support teachers within the classroom during the summer school session. Create and teach 2 lesson plans with the support of mentor teacher. Provide classroom supervision. Interact with students within assigned classroom. Interact professionally with lead teacher and teachers within the building. Attend training a kick off event and an end of the year event. Promptness to work daily. Performs other duties as necessary to support the mission and vision of Columbia Public School District. Students should have an attendance rate of more than 90%, a 2.5 GPA andminimal to no office referrals within the 2023-24 school year. Preferred: Students between the ages of 14-17 attending school within Columbia Public Schools.
