Job Summary:
The unit specializes in the care of patients undergoing liver transplants, with a focus on advanced medical surgical treatments and transplant procedures. Candidates will be joining a dedicated liver transplant unit that manages complex gastrointestinal disorders, including liver, kidney, and pancreatic diseases, as well as recipients of related organ transplants. The position is based in San Francisco, California. Candidates are required to bring their California license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Location: San Francisco, California
• Specialty: Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS/Tele)
• Schedule: Days, 0700-1930, every other weekend, floating to other units as needed; minimum hours per week: 36.0
• Required Qualifications: Valid California license, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, 1 year of previous charge experience, at least 2 years of total relevant experience, experience interpreting and managing dysrhythmias, use of Rapid Response/Code teams, peripheral line care, oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, isolation precautions/PPE, feeding tube care and management, and transplant unit experience.

• Additional Information:
  • Candidates must upload Nursys licensure verification within the last 2 weeks.
  • Applicable certifications with valid expiration dates must be uploaded.
  • Two references obtained within the last year are required.
  • Candidates must provide accurate work history going back 7 years from the start date.
  • Must complete labs within 3-5 days of contract signing.
  • All compliance documents are due 10 days prior to start.
  • Modules are non-billable, completed during orientation via e-learning, with hours varying by specialty.
• Experience: 0 years minimum experience, with at least 1 year of charge experience.
• Additional Notes: This role involves floating to other units as needed, with consideration for holiday coverage on major U.S. holidays from 7:00 PM the night before to 7:00 AM the following day.
