Integrated Health Counselor (LPC, LCSW, Psychology) Hiring Department: Healthyhorns - Counseling and Mental Health Center Location: UT MAIN CAMPUS Weekly Scheduled Hours: 40 Earliest Start Date: Jun 01, 2026 Position Duration: Expected to Continue Position Overview The Integrated Health Program (IHP) collaborates between the Counseling and Mental Health Center (CMHC) and University Health Services (UHS). Counselors work with medical providers to deliver collaborative and comprehensive medical and psychological care in a primary care setting. The role includes triage, assessment, brief individual therapy, crisis counseling, and collaboration with other healthcare professionals. Responsibilities Provide short‑term individual and group counseling and crisis interventions. Conduct initial assessments and develop treatment recommendations. Maintain timely, accurate documentation of all service contacts. Develop and implement programmatic interventions addressing psycho‑social mental health needs. Develop and facilitate groups in accordance with program needs. Provide clinical consultation to others and seek consultation when appropriate. Coordinate referrals between UHS/CMHC and university or community providers. Provide clinical training and supervision to interns, practicum students, and psychiatric nurse practitioners. Attend departmental meetings and staff development programs. Participate in prevention and outreach activities as needed. Required Qualifications Master’s or Doctoral degree in counseling, counseling psychology, clinical psychology, social work, or a Texas licensure‑compliant field. Licensed professional counselor, clinical social worker, or psychologist licensed in Texas (or ability to obtain Texas license within one year). Minimum of three years of counseling experience. Experience providing brief individual therapy and crisis intervention. Excellent verbal and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a high‑demand mental health setting. Experience collaborating with a multidisciplinary medical and developmental team. Experience providing mental health consultation to other professionals. Experience in a medical setting and working with college‑age populations. Salary Range LCSW/LPC: $78,000+ (based on qualifications). Psychology: $90,000+ (based on qualifications). Benefits
