Parts Specialist

Compensation & Benefits Pay Range: $18.60 - $25.15 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance bonuses and premiums that may be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Follow and promote all company customer service programs such as Hi‑5, Low Price Guarantee, Rock the Call, Related Selling, and Rock the Lot. Promptly greet retail and walk‑in customers in a friendly, courteous manner and assist them in selecting merchandise. Assist managers and installer service specialists in serving professional customers as needed and directed. Complete assigned company training relevant to the position. Provide excellent service to customers calling the store by answering all calls according to company policy; accurately look up parts and quote prices; recommend premium and related items; offer the Low‑Price Guarantee. Maintain and secure the cash drawer, accept cash and checks, accurately make change, and process credit card transactions. Process exchanges and returns for credit in a friendly manner, in accordance with company policies and procedures. Address and resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner. Assist with the completion of daily image maker and planogram updates, including freight receipt, stocking shelves, fronting and facing, and cleaning. Perform various daily operational tasks such as preparing new, core, and warranty merchandise returns to be shipped to the distribution center; assisting with monthly stock adjustments and inventory cycle counts. Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after corresponding training is completed and company requirements are met. Perform in‑store services for customers where state and local laws allow, including installing wipers, testing and charging batteries, testing charging systems, scanning vehicle trouble codes, and replacing headlight capsules. Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle to make deliveries when business needs dictate; a driving record meeting the company’s mandatory driving eligibility requirements is required. Perform all other duties as assigned. SKILLS, EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, AND ABILITIES Required: Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences. Ability to provide outstanding, friendly, and professional customer service. Must be able to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store at the same time. Desired: Familiarity with automotive parts, cataloging, weatherly index system, and automotive sales or service. AES certification. Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).
