About the Position At Baruch College we believe that student success is everyone's responsibility. The Weissman Center for International Business provides meaningful international educational experiences for Baruch undergraduate and graduate students, supports scholarly research and teaching with an international business perspective, and contributes to the economic life of New York City. Responsibilities Strategic Partnerships Identify and advance strategic partnerships leading to the launch of various skill‑based training programs, scholarships, experiential learning opportunities, and co‑curricular initiatives. Align new initiatives to the school’s and the university’s missions, providing critical functions for future growth to support long‑term development of the unit. Implement activities which foster innovation in international business education and research, informed by industry needs, leveraging the academic and technological strengths of the institution. Develop and implement funding proposals (foundations, alumni, government and others). Finance and Budget Develop budgets and manage expenditure throughout the year and each of the revenue streams. Provide analysis of historical growth and projections in enrollment, revenue, costs, and new programs. Develop financial plans and cost models for all new initiatives; execute established agreements. Review and approve all expenses including vendor relationships and consultant agreements. Management Perform duties as a member of the senior leadership and management team and represent the Senior Academic Director as requested. Administrative responsibility for the implementation of activities among the Center’s different areas including administration and finance, communications, marketing, and partnerships in support of the Center’s strategic goals. Supervise the accounting unit, international business programs, internship programs and office administration. Responsible for oversight and implementation of compliance activities. Evaluate progress against goals for the organization. Provide a bridge between operations and leadership. Board and committee member for a variety of Baruch and external organizations, including the WCIB Advisory Council. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree and eight years’ relevant experience required. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in International Business, International Affairs or a related area. Leadership and management skills. Demonstrated ability to work collegially in a team environment and manage staff. Deep interest in and passion for the Center’s mission. Demonstrated interest in International Business. Ability to establish and maintain external partnerships. Good organizational skills and ability to work independently. Excellent written communication skills. Experience with both government, for-profit and non-profit organizations with an international focus. Experience developing funding proposals and writing reports. International experience (e.g., foreign language proficiency and studying overseas). Cuny Title Overview Directs a specialized academic and/or research center. Designs, implements and monitors curriculum for programs sponsored by the Center. Oversees the design and delivery of courses and workshops; assesses learning outcomes. Develops and manages the Center’s budget and operations. Implements ongoing faculty and/or student development activities. Plans, develops, and initiates strategies for generating resources and/or revenues. May seek and acquire grant funding to further advance Center initiatives. Manages professional and clerical staff. Performs related duties as assigned. Compensation and Benefits $126,333‑$141,643; Salary commensurate with education and experience.
