About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med/Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36-48 hours/week Experience: Preferred acute care facility experience License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Must-Have: Epic experience, ability to float Med/Surg Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment. Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to achieve outcomes. Implements the plan and coordinates care delivery. Employs strategies to promote health and maintain a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Identifies outcomes for the patient or the patient's situation. Collaborates with the team of patients, families, and healthcare providers in providing care in a safe and caring environment. Provides learning opportunities for patients and families. Directly provides health information to patients, families, and treatment teams. Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates the duties of healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Commits to the safety and wellbeing of associates and patients through adherence to required vaccinations as a condition of employment.
