Job Title Special Procedure Technologist (Req #: 0000246348) Location & Department RWJ New Brunswick, Main Hospital – New Brunswick, Department: Special Procedures‑Radiology Employment Per diem, Day shift, Pay Range: $44.91–$55.62 per hour. Job Overview Assists the nursing and physician team in the coordination of daily work from a technical aspect. Assists Interventional Radiology team in the preparation, performance and completion of all examinations performed both departmental and non‑departmental. Assures overall quality control and quality assurance standards are achieved. Assures overall patient comfort while achieving technical standards during procedures. Essential Functions Coordinate the daily work schedule and prepare the rooms for the day. Collaborate with physicians for proper orders, x‑ray requisitions and lab results. Ensure proper technical exposure factors with digital and conventional equipment to minimize radiation exposure for patient safety and comfort. Program digital computers, contrast injectors and other equipment. Responsible for radiation safety and protection, coordination of continuing education. Qualifications Active, valid ARRTaand NJ DEP license. Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) required. Minimum of 2 years radiology experience (preferred). Procedural Interventional Radiology experience (preferred). Scheduling Requirements Full‑time, 40 hours per week (four 10‑hour shifts) with on‑call and weekend rotation.
