From world-class events that last a few weeks to mining operations and remote communities who rely on us for decades. What you’ll do: You’ll be based out of our Santa Fe Springs, CA service center. Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or oil free air compressors. Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop. You will either be out on your own or teamed up with other technician(s) to set up and operate equipment in the shop. You are: High School diploma/GED. 4+ years of experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs. Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematics. Based on the customer requirements, you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card Valid driver’s license Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs. Must be able to stand,walkand sit for prolonged periods of time; and be able to walk over uneven terrainwith functional balance that does not require any special assistive devices. Must be able to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion that willpermitwork to be safely performed from ground / floor level tofull overhead level. Must have good finger dexterity to manipulate small items,functional hand-eye coordination, andfunctionally grip with adequate strength to safelyhold tools and stair railing or ladders. Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs), push/pull (80 lbs), carry (60 lbs), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs), stoop, kneel and squat.
