Retail Store Manager I Position #: 44152 Location: Salem, NH Employment Type: Full-time Pay Range: $17.81 - $23.39 Post Date: 05/27/2026 Close Date: 06/10/2026 Overview Provides exceptional customer service in a retail store environment by retrieving and compiling register receipts, maintaining product merchandising and inventory, reporting sales, and implementing and following all New Hampshire Liquor Commission rules and policies. Qualifications Equivalent combination of 1 year of education and experience after high school. Valid driver's license. Ability to continuously lift material up to 25 pounds, including frequent lifting of cases weighing 60 pounds. Availability to work day, evening, and weekend hours. Preferred: 1 year of experience in a public contact, retail store, or cash-handling position. Responsibilities Build and maintain a loyal customer base and enhance customer relations. Act as store manager in a low-volume environment and supervise personnel up to Retail Salesperson III level. Assist with daily store operations—opening/closing, merchandising displays, deposits, and inventory—in larger volume stores under higher-level manager. Provide routine training and guidance to all store employees. Account for stock and maintain proper inventory levels, forecasting sales items. Calculate sales transactions, prepare and make bank deposits. Review and interpret computer print outs, making recommendations to the Store Manager. Supervise and guide personnel in the performance of duties. Serve as a Retail Salesperson when not assisting the Store Manager. Occasionally cover for higher-level Store Managers for short periods. May be assigned to work in other store locations requiring travel. Undergo criminal background check and reference check.
