Key Responsibilities\n

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily serve elderly clients dealing with various geriatric mental health disorders. This includes understanding their unique challenges, such as cognitive decline, loss of independence, and chronic illness, which require a compassionate and respectful approach. The ability to establish rapport with older adults and their families is crucial in fostering trust and encouraging treatment adherence.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Professional Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCMFT, LCPC, LCP, LCSW, LSCSW, or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) is required.

• At least two years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, specifically with older adults.

• Proficient knowledge of geriatric mental health issues, evidence-based treatment modalities, and intervention techniques.
