JB’s A/C & Electrical is looking for an organized, dependable, and hands-on Shop Manager to keep our HVAC shop running efficiently and make sure our crews are prepared for upcoming jobs.

This is NOT just a desk or management position. This is a hands-on role combining shop management, job preparation, inventory organization, and occasional field support.

Responsibilities include:
• Review upcoming jobs and prepare/stage materials in advance
• Stage equipment, parts, fittings, tools, and job-specific materials
• Load and unload equipment and materials
• Keep the shop, warehouse, tools, and inventory clean and organized
• Receive and verify deliveries
• Make sure crews have everything needed before leaving for a job
• Monitor inventory and communicate what needs to be ordered or restocked
• Label and organize materials by job
• Coordinate with the office and field crews regarding upcoming projects
• Help prevent job delays and unnecessary supply-house trips
• Perform site visits when needed to verify job requirements, materials, measurements, or job progress
• Be willing to assist technicians/installers in the field when additional help is needed

Requirements:
• Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 lbs.
• Must be comfortable with physical work, loading, staging, and organizing materials
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Dependable and able to work independently
• Must take initiative and stay ahead of the job schedule
• Valid driver’s license
• HVAC, construction, warehouse, or parts experience preferred
• HVAC equipment and material knowledge is a major plus

The primary responsibility is managing the shop and preparing jobs , but applicants must understand that this is a team position and may require going to job sites or helping in the field when necessary.
