Job Description

Premier ER & Urgent Care is hiring a Nurse Practitioner to join our Temple, TX location. This role can be either Full or Part Time!

The Advanced Practice Provider will be clinically competent while delivering care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation and evaluation. Advanced Practice Provider s will effectively interact with patients, significant others and other health team members while maintaining all standards of professional nursing. This includes but is not limited to patient evaluation and management, patient assessment, therapeutic treatment as ordered by the physician, laboratory testing, and patient discharge and education.

The Nurse Practitioners primary purpose is to provide effective, efficient and primary care to Premier patients. The Nurse Practitioner provides general treatment, conducts examinations, treats illnesses, orders and reviews lab tests and prescribes medication for children and adults. The advanced practice provider will conduct follow up calls to patients to discuss patients progress and address any concerns.  In addition to this, the Advanced Practice Provider collaborates with providers and other multidisciplinary staff; provides support for staff, patients and family; assures quality of care by developing and interpreting company philosophies and standards of care; adheres to state board of nursing and state nurse practice act requirements and to other governing agency regulations.

This is a full or part time-position that offers 12-hour shifts working 9am-9pm, a benefits package and a monthly incentive. 

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Master of Science in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program required.
• Valid Texas Nurse Practitioner license required.
• Must have BLS certification.
• Must have a valid DEA license in the state of Texas.
• Must be able to meet and maintain current Premier credentialing and privileging requirements.
