Overview Missile Tracking Systems Engineer – Scottsdale, AZ Pay Estimated: $64.60-$69.60/Hour Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. Responsibilities Development of digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms implemented in hardware and/or software for space-based systems Application of advanced DSP techniques, including: Detection & Estimation Theory Random Processes Analysis Communications & Information Theory Statistical analysis of signal parameter measurements Experience with radar signal processing and RF signal conditioning/mitigation Familiarity with phased array systems and beamforming techniques Use of MATLAB (DSP toolboxes) for modeling, simulation, and algorithm development Experience with Monte Carlo analysis for system performance evaluation Qualifications U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or STEM field OR Master’s degree plus 6 years of related experience 5+ years of recent experience designing and developing complex algorithm-based systems Preferred Qualifications Programming / Tools: MLAB Python Space Systems Experience: SmallSats / CubeSats Space payload design, development, or integration & test (I&T) Hardware & Integration: Hardware prototyping (e.g., FlatSat environments) Hardware integration and test (I&T) Hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) systems Systems Engineering / Digital Engineering: Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) SysML MagicDraw / Cameo Requirements management tools Development Methodologies: Agile development (hardware/software/firmware) DevOps / CI/CD pipelines What to Expect Applicants selected for employment will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background investigation, which may include education, criminal, and work history verifications.
