Position Overview
Senior Software Engineer (Oracle EBS, SQL, Architecture, or Cloud Migration) to support the Air Force Human Resources Systems Division at Randolph AFB, TX.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and sustain Air Force HR IT systems using Agile-based software engineering practices.
- Prepare, review, and analyze documentation for planning, requirements, design, coding, and testing.
- Write and maintain source code, configuration files, and engineering support documentation.
- Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, and proposed solutions.
- Develop demonstrations and documentation (flowcharts, diagrams, charts) to illustrate solutions.
- Design system specifications, standards, and programming solutions, including installation and deployment.
- Conduct system and process analysis to recommend operational improvements and policy changes.
- Advise on software procurements by researching, comparing, and documenting vendor solutions.
- Provide information and recommendations by collecting and summarizing development and service‑related issues.
- Develop software solutions following Agile lifecycle, integrating new technologies such as containerization, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and micro‑services.
- Apply information security and cybersecurity policies to ensure secure delivery of application software services.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and a Master’s or Doctorate degree with 10+ years of experience (5+ years in DoW),
- or a Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of experience (5+ years in DoW),
- or 15+ years of directly related experience with proper certifications, 8+ years in DoW.
- Proficiency in full acquisition lifecycle—pre‑ and post‑award, development, testing, and fielding.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket).
- Implementations of Cloud Infrastructure and ERP systems, including Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Cloud One, AWS, MS Azure.
- Knowledge of Oracle EBS, Fusion Middleware, Integration Cloud, SaaS HCM offerings, APIaaS, IAP, and integration of legacy systems.
- Experience with DoW IT networks and services (GCDS, SCCA, BCAP, Cloud Computing SRG, etc.).
- Ability to build automated integrations and maintain data exchanges between Oracle EBS (on‑prem) and Oracle Fusion HCM SaaS.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Visio, Excel, Word, Outlook), Unix, .NET, Java, JavaScript.
- Understanding of Digital Engineering practices, AI, serverless architecture, microservices.
- Knowledge of departmental Cybersecurity regulations, RMF, and best practices.
- Secret clearance required; must maintain clearance at required level.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of systems engineering experience with a proven track record in sustainment and modernization of enterprise IT systems.
- Oracle ERP skills and cloud architecture experience.
- IAT/IAM level II certification (minimum Security+ or equivalent).
- High expertise in relevant technologies and practices is highly desired.

Monday–Friday, 8:00a.m.–5:00p.m.; Randolph AFB, TX. Travel: No. Relocation assistance: None.
