SAP S/4HANA FICO Techno-Functional Lead

Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced SAP FICO Techno-Functional Lead to oversee the design, configuration, and continuous improvement of our SAP Finance landscape. The ideal candidate combines deep hands-on configuration expertise with a strong understanding of finance and accounting principles, and will play a central role in a complex, high-volume business environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, configuration, testing, and support of core SAP FICO areas, including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting, Controlling, and Financial Close
\n
• Oversee Accounts Receivable and Credit Management processes across wholesale, retail, and direct-to-consumer channels
\n
• Support the development of digital payment and payment service provider integrations, covering authorization, capture, settlement, refunds, and reconciliation
\n
• Analyze and resolve end-to-end transaction issues across SAP, banking partners, commerce platforms, and middleware
\n
• Identify opportunities to reduce manual processes, streamline reconciliations, and uphold clean-core principles
\n
• Provide guidance to junior analysts and collaborate closely with Finance, Internal Audit, and technical teams
\n

Required Qualifications

\n
• A minimum of 10 years of SAP experience, including substantial hands-on FICO configuration on live implementation projects (training and certifications alone are not sufficient)
\n
• A strong foundation in finance and accounting, with a clear understanding of the business processes underlying system configuration
\n
• Experience leading full SAP implementations or major transformation programs
\n
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with finance leadership and technical stakeholders
\n

Preferred Qualifications

\n
• Experience with SAP Digital Payments Add-On (training will be provided)
\n
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA or S/4HANA Public Cloud (ECC or other SAP experience will also be considered)
\n
• Background in retail or consumer goods (finance experience from other industries is equally valued)
