Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day shift position with a schedule of 3x12 hours (07:00 - 19:00). Weekend work is required every other week.

As a Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery, you will provide comprehensive care for mothers during labor and delivery, including assisting with high-risk deliveries, supporting lactation, and managing postpartum care. Your role will encompass monitoring maternal and fetal health, administering medications, and providing education to new parents.

Responsibilities:

Administer and manage medications and IV therapy.
Provide support for labor and delivery, including Cesarean sections and vaginal deliveries.
Educate and support families on breastfeeding and newborn care.
Monitor patients throughout the labor process and respond to emergency situations as required.
Document patient care accurately in the Epic charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in Labor and Delivery.
Current California state RN license required.
ACLS, BLS, AWHONN Advanced, and AWHONN Intermediate certifications required.
Experience with electronic charting systems, specifically Epic.
