Manager, Legal Counsel Employment Compliance

Job Title: Manager, Legal Counsel Employment Compliance Summary of the Role This role ensures compliance with employment legal standards while supporting strategic business goals. Responsibilities Ensure timely preparation and certification of the affirmative action plan, EEO-1 reporting, veterans and pay data reporting, and all mandated state reporting requirements. Keep current with changes in employment laws and regulations throughout the Americas and ensure compliance with those laws. Conduct legal research and analysis on complex employment law issues and provide recommendations based on findings. Draft, review and negotiate employment and benefit-related agreements, including executive employment agreements and severance agreements. Draft updates of Employment Handbooks in the US and Canada, and collaborate on updating handbooks throughout LATAM. Represent the company in employment-related litigation, arbitration and administrative proceedings throughout the Americas. Supervise outside labor and employment counsel throughout the Americas. Manage the discovery process. Manage responses to inquiries by state, federal and local administrative agencies, including agencies throughout the Americas. Coordinate the company’s response to inquiries and investigations by the Department of Labor, EEOC or other state or federal agencies. Review and respond to claims and demand letters, primarily employee or commercial real estate related. Qualifications JD from an accredited law school in the United States. Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience providing expert legal advice and support on a wide range of employment law matters. Experience with commercial real estate law is a plus. Knowledge of employment laws and regulations throughout the Americas. Previous experience in conducting legal research using critical thinking, analytical skills and attention to detail. Advanced communication skills; ability to convey complex information clearly and build consensus with stakeholders. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and AI functional competencies.
