Company Overview Rapidly growing specialty services organization operating across multiple business units with a finance and accounting function that continues to expand alongside the business The company is experiencing significant growth through both organic expansion and strategic acquisitions, creating outstanding opportunities for accounting professionals seeking long-term career advancement The accounting organization supports a complex multi-entity environment, providing exposure to intercompany accounting, financial reporting, ERP systems, and corporate accounting processes The broader accounting department consists of approximately 20 professionals, including a collaborative Corporate Accounting team that works closely together to support the organization's continued growth This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-growth organization where ambitious, career‑focused professionals can take on increasing responsibility, develop new technical skills, and advance within the company as it continues to scale Role Summary Title: Senior Accountant Department: Finance/Accounting Reports To: Senior Corporate Accounting Manager Work Arrangement: In‑office position with the opportunity to work from home one day during the final two weeks of the month after 90 days Primary Focus: Support corporate accounting activities including month‑end close, journal entries, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany accounting, fixed assets, and financial reporting across a growing multi‑entity environment Key Responsibilities Obtain a strong understanding of business operations, financial systems, and general ledger structure Prepare journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations as part of the month‑end close process Record intercompany transactions across multiple entities and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner Prepare and review intercompany reconciliation reports for management review Collaborate with internal teams and operational groups to ensure transactions are accurately reflected in the financial statements Record assets and maintain the fixed asset module Identify opportunities for process improvement and help implement best practices for intercompany reconciliations Conduct and support ad hoc finance and accounting requests as assigned Assist with bank reconciliations as needed Support accounting associates and help create a collaborative, team‑oriented accounting environment Work closely with branches and internal stakeholders to investigate and resolve accounting issues Ideal Candidate Profile Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required CPA preferred 3–5 years of experience in a GL‑focused accounting role Strong understanding of GAAP accounting, journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations Experience with intercompany transactions required ERP or accounting software experience required NetSuite experience strongly preferred Advanced Excel skills preferred Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across branches and internal teams Self‑starter who can learn quickly, absorb information, and take ownership of responsibilities Career‑focused professional looking to grow and develop within a high‑growth organization Experience with captive business insurance, self‑funded medical insurance plans, and multi‑state sales tax filings is a plus Candidates located in North or Northwest Houston may be best aligned based on the Woodlands office location Target Base Compensation: $85K–$100K Discretionary Bonus Opportunity In‑office role with potential for limited work‑from‑home flexibility after 90 days Opportunity to join a rapidly growing organization with meaningful career advancement potential Exposure to a multi‑entity accounting environment and a collaborative corporate accounting team Selling Points Opportunity to join a company experiencing tremendous growth with strong long‑term career potential High‑impact Senior Accountant role supporting a multi‑entity accounting environment Direct reporting line to the Senior Corporate Accounting Manager Opportunity to gain deeper exposure to intercompany accounting, fixed assets, reconciliations, month‑end close, and ERP systems Strong fit for an accountant who wants to grow, develop, and take on more responsibility over time Collaborative accounting team with the opportunity to support and mentor associates Excellent opportunity for someone who is hands‑on, detail‑oriented, and motivated to build their career within a growing company Ideal location for candidates in North or Northwest Houston seeking a role in The Woodlands #J-18808-Ljbffr
