We are Hiring for a Dairy Lab Tech in the city of Chino.
Schedule :Sunday to Thursday

Time: 8:00am to 04:30pm

Pay rate $24

Job Description

• The Laboratory Technician will be responsible for ensuring that he/she follows the company's SOP's for laboratory practices. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry and/or food laboratory experience, Dairy Industry preferred. Will be required to walk and stand up to 90% of the scheduled shift.
• Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
• Adherence of SOP, SSOP, GMP, SQF and HACCP guidelines.
• Inspecting all laboratory testing equipment before start of shift, including but not limited to: sanitary condition of equipment, proper working order and lubrication.
• Stocking of all lab supplies.
• Laboratory Technician will be responsible for finished product testing to ensure that it falls within the pre-determined specification range for each product he/she flavors prior to finished packaging as well as antibiotic and allergen testing.
• The swabbing of all drains, clean tanks and allergens.
• Laboratory technician will be responsible for the finished product testing.
• Perform Production walkthroughs to check temps, product weights, tanks with product for time in logs as well as pre inspection checks.
• Release and/or hold of all finished products based on finished product testing results.
• Maintain a clean and orderly working area.
• Other duties as needed

Interactions:
The Laboratory Technician reports directly to the Lab Manager.

• This is a Quality Control position for food based in Chino, CA. Products include ice cream, frozen yogurt, sour cream, and other dairy products.
• In this role, candidate will be dealing with milk and other allergen-related products.

• Our facility runs almost 24HRs a day, so it is important to have someone from Quality Control on site to maintain production needs.
• The Lab Technician shift is a "Night Shift". The primary schedule is Sunday - Thursday from 8:00pm to 04:30am, however it is possible the candidate may move to other shifts. Other shifts would include a few swing shifts or morning shifts or working weekends a couple of times a year.
• First few weeks candidate will be cross trained. They will experience working all 3 of our shifts. Training length varies depending on how quickly a candidate becomes comfortable. Usually lasts a couple weeks to month. Once training is complete, they will have their usual set schedule (2 nd Shift).
• There are 4 main duties for this position:
  1. Walking the Production Facility Inspecting,

a. Climbing Ladder to Retrieve Products
b. Will be on Feet 90% of the Shift

1. 1. Chemistry Testing (Will be Trained)
2. Testing in Process Products
3. 1. Microbiology Testing (Will be Trained)

a. Testing Finished Products Ensuring Products are Approved and Safe from Contamination

1. 1. Inspecting Packaging Labels, Materials, Products, etc.

And any other duties that will be assigned.
