Travel RN – Inpatient Medical Surgical (Nights)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Night Shift (19:00–07:30) | 36 or 48 Hours Per Week | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to perform direct patient care activities for all age groups, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort
• Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers and maintain professional accountability
• Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality
• Operate unit equipment including Nova Meters, Alaris IV pumps, Kangaroo pumps, and SCD machines; document in EPIC EMR
• May be floated to other units depending on staffing needs

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license — must meet eligibility criteria for licensure in the state of Missouri or be currently licensed in Missouri
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient Medical Surgical experience
• Flu vaccination (or facility-approved exemption) required for assignments running November 1 – April 1; declinations are not accepted
• Must be available the entire first week for day-shift orientation (night shift orients on days)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Experience working with diverse patient populations in a team-oriented environment
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR
