Through hands-on training and mentorship, you'll develop the skills needed to become a successful HVAC service technician.Responsibilities include:Assist experienced technicians with residential HVAC maintenance, diagnostics, and repairsPerform preventative maintenance, seasonal tune-ups, and equipment inspectionsLearn to troubleshoot heating, cooling, and ventilation systemsHelp maintain furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, mini-splits, and indoor air quality equipmentLearn proper electrical, refrigeration, and airflow diagnostic proceduresCommunicate professionally with homeowners while providing excellent customer serviceComplete service documentation accurately and on timeMaintain clean, organized company vehicles and job sitesFollow all company safety procedures and manufacturer guidelinesParticipate in ongoing training to develop technical and customer service skillsQualificationsMechanical aptitude and a strong desire to learn the HVAC tradeValid driver's license with an insurable driving recordPositive attitude and willingness to learn from experienced techniciansStrong work ethic and dependable attendanceExcellent communication and customer service skillsAbility to lift equipment and work in attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, and varying weather conditionsTrade school or HVAC education is a plus but not requiredConstruction, maintenance, mechanical, warehouse, or other hands-on experience is a plus but not requiredCompensation and Benefits$15.00-$25.00 per hour based on experience and qualificationsPerformance bonuses and incentive opportunitiesHealth insurancePaid vacation and holidays401(k) with up to a 4% company matchTool program assistancePaid training and continuing educationClear advancement opportunities into experienced service technician positionsStable, year-round employment with a trusted local companyIf you're ready to start a rewarding career in the HVAC industry, Terry's Heating and Air Conditioning offers the training, mentorship, and opportunities you need to succeed.
