Manufacturing Engineer

Full-time

ALAC HR Solutions

Great manufacturing engineers don't just design processes, they make production work

We're partnering with a growing defense technology manufacturer developing complex, mission-critical hardware.

As production capabilities expand, we're seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer who can bridge the gap between engineering and the production floor, solve technical challenges, and improve how sophisticated electromechanical systems are built. This opportunity is for someone who enjoys working directly with technicians, turning engineering designs into reliable manufacturing processes, and seeing the measurable impact of their work.

The Opportunity

Working alongside engineering, production, and quality teams, you'll help strengthen manufacturing execution and product reliability

  • Improve manufacturing processes: Develop and optimize assembly workflows, production methods, and work instructions.

  • Solve technical challenges: Troubleshoot electrical and electromechanical manufacturing issues directly on the production floor.

  • Support production readiness: Help transition engineering designs into repeatable, manufacturable processes.

  • Drive quality and efficiency: Identify root causes, reduce defects and rework, and improve production consistency.

  • Partner across teams: Collaborate with engineering, technicians, suppliers, and quality personnel to resolve manufacturing constraints.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of relevant manufacturing engineering experience in a technical hardware or industrial production environment.

  • Strong electrical or electromechanical technical background , with practical experience supporting the manufacture, assembly, or troubleshooting of electrical systems.

  • Hands-on production floor experience , working directly with technicians to resolve manufacturing and assembly challenges.

  • Manufacturing process expertise , including technical documentation, work instructions, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement.

  • Demonstrated cross-functional problem-solving , with the ability to work effectively across engineering, production, and quality in a fast-moving environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in aerospace, defense, unmanned systems, electronics manufacturing, or other highly regulated hardware industries.
  • Familiarity with electrical schematics, cable harnesses, wiring integration, and electromechanical assembly.
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing, production testing, quality systems, or design-for-manufacturability principles.

This position offers the opportunity to work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams, solve meaningful technical problems, and directly influence the production of mission-critical technology.

If you're an engineer who prefers solving real problems on the production floor rather than working exclusively behind a desk, we'd like to hear from you.
