Shift: Tuesday through Friday 5:00 am‑3:30 pm | $20/hr Pay Incentives Attendance Incentive — up to $2,400 bonus for good attendance (refer to policy for rules and details). Certified/qualified Forklift/Walkie Rider/Cherry Picker drivers receive an additional $0.50/hr. Certified/qualified Reach Truck drivers receive an additional $1.00/hr. Job Purpose The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for conducting cycle counts and bin location audits, assisting in researching and reconciling inventory discrepancies, and working with the Inventory Supervisor/Manager in any inventory‑related functions concerning inventory materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and parts in the stockroom, warehouse, or yard. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Performs physical counts of inventory items to maintain accurate inventory. Counts and reconciles randomly chosen or selected part numbers and/or locations daily. Accurately inputs inventory control data to ensure inventory integrity. Completes necessary documentation thoroughly, accurately, and on time. Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies. Other tasks assigned by supervisor/manager. Additional Responsibilities Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Write routine reports and correspondence. Ensure compliance with inventory processes and procedures, and contractual obligations. Physically count articles or products on shelves, racks, and pallets. Utilize computer terminals to properly account for inventory issues, returns, and documentation. Qualifications Minimum 1‑3 months related experience and/or training in Inventory Control. Minimum 1‑3 months related experience and/or training in a warehouse environment. Must be able to communicate, read, write and speak English. Experience operating a forklift and cherry picker/high lift. Experience using WMS software a plus (Synapse preferred). PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Access Database. Education and/or Experience Required High School Diploma or GED equivalency. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and write emails. Ability to physically count articles or products on shelves, racks, and pallets. Forklift certification a plus. Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to determine root cause of problems and determine corrective action. Computer Skills Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite for writing emails and interpreting and/or creating reports. Physical Demands Occasionally lift and/or move up to 55 pounds. Stand; walk; stoop; kneel; crouch; or crawl. Activate phone systems utilizing keyboards and buttons. Articulate and comfortable speaking in front of others. Work in an indoor/office environment, required to sit and/or use repetitive hand motion. Frequently required to talk, hear, stand, and walk. Work more than 8 continuous hours when required. Work under stressful situations, maintain work accuracy, and concentrate on more than one task at a time. Read and discern visual images on a variety of media with 20/20 corrected vision. Speak and communicate clearly over telephones. Be in sound physical health as determined by a certified licensed physician with no evidence of controlled substance use. Work Environment Employee may be occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles. Noise level ranges from quiet to moderately loud.
