Forklift operator

We are looking for a reliable, safety-first Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. In this role, you will be the backbone of our daily operations-moving materials, keeping our inventory accurate, and ensuring shipments get out the door on time.

work hours: 8 AM - 4:30 PM

Responsibilities

1. Material Handling & Moving

• Loading and Unloading: Safely taking cargo off incoming trucks and loading outgoing shipments onto trailers.
• Transporting Goods: Moving pallets, crates, and raw materials from receiving docks to storage racks or production lines.
• Staking and Storing: Stacking goods in the correct storage bays, ensuring loads are balanced and do not exceed weight limits.

2. Safety & Inspection (The Most Critical Part)

• Pre-Shift Inspections: Checking fluid levels, brakes, tires, steering, and hydraulic lifts before starting the engine every day.
• Reporting Defects: Documenting any mechanical issues or damage and locking out the machine if it is unsafe to use.
• Site Awareness: Driving at safe speeds, using the horn at blind intersections, and constantly watching out for pedestrians and other equipment.

3. Inventory & Documentation

• Scanning and Tracking: Using handheld RF (radio frequency) scanners to log inventory movements, ensuring the warehouse management system is accurate.
• Verifying Orders: Double-checking picking sheets or digital orders to make sure the right items, quantities, and batch numbers are being moved.
