Supervisor - Rehab Services

Job Summary This position supervises the day‑to‑day management of a clinical department, providing technical and clinical support to staff, coordinating workflow, staffing patterns, program development, inventory control, and distribution within assigned areas. The role involves monitoring statistical guidelines and metrics established by federal regulations, credentialing bodies, payer sources, and leadership, as well as planning, organizing, and conducting discipline‑specific treatment programs in accordance with state practice acts. Responsibilities Serves as a preceptor or mentor for new staff, validating skills required for proper job performance as outlined in the orientation, assessment, evaluation, and treatment process Delegates tasks to staff based on role, competency, and scope of practice, in accordance with the state practice act and compliance standards Maintains productivity standard of the department, monitoring individual staff productivity levels and discussing concerns/issues with Leadership Provides training, coaching, and feedback to ensure performance standards are met and staff are given opportunities for professional growth Performs evaluations and/or treatment appropriate to the licensed discipline and patient diagnosis Maintains patient records according to documentation standards, policies, and procedures Assists in evaluating department learning needs to adapt to changing research, practice trends, and patient populations Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, respecting privacy and communication style needs Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all policies and standards Education Required - Bachelor's in healthcare or a related field Work Experience Required - 1 year of clinical experience in specialty area Preferred - 3 years of clinical experience in specialty area Certifications Required - Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association Required - Licensed physical therapist, physical therapist assistant, occupational therapist, occupational therapist assistant, or speech‑language pathologist current in state of practice Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs) Proficiency in using computers, software, and web‑based applications. Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process. Strong leadership skills. Ability to travel throughout and between facilities. Physical and Environmental Demands Very heavy work: exerts in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Duties require exposure to blood, body fluid and tissue, and potentially hazardous medications or waste within a patient care environment.
