Job Description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep, repair, troubleshooting, and overhaul of electromechanical equipment throughout the facility. This role focuses on performing preventive maintenance on a wide variety of production machinery, including processing and packaging equipment, and planning and scheduling maintenance tasks to align with production needs. The technician ensures equipment reliability, minimizes downtime, and supports safe and efficient operations across the plant.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and scheduled preventive maintenance on all production machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and operational readiness.
• Quickly diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on production equipment and building systems to minimize downtime.
• Adhere to all plant safety policies, procedures, and regulations, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and consistently maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Interpret and work from electrical and mechanical schematics to diagnose issues and perform repairs.
• Perform PLC troubleshooting and work with PLC controls to identify and resolve equipment control problems.
• Support production teams by responding promptly to maintenance requests and communicating equipment status and repair timelines.
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements or adjustments to enhance reliability and efficiency.
• Ensure all tools, parts, and materials are used and stored properly to support efficient maintenance operations.

Essential Skills

• Experience as a maintenance technician in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Hands-on experience with preventive maintenance on production and industrial equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
• PLC troubleshooting and familiarity with PLC control systems.
• Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting, including working with 3-phase power.
• Experience with motors, fuses, heaters, limit switches, electric motor clutches, and brakes.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $62400.00/yr.
