Senior Electrical EngineerAECOM is seeking a motivated, technically-experienced team leader to serve as Senior Electrical Engineer. This position can be based in either our Chicago, IL or Minneapolis, MN office.Our Buildings + Places practice includes architecture, interiors, building and system engineering, urbanism, and planning (inclusive of landscape design), strategy +, economics, technology solutions, asset advisory, and cost and program management. This diverse team assists our clients from strategy through project realization, creating positive outcomes for those who occupy and use the buildings and environments we help to create. Our B+P offices focuses on the Commercial/Corporate, Science and Technology, Health Care, Higher Education, Military and Federal market sectors. We look to combine beauty, sustainability, resiliency, equity, and innovation in our projects and believe these values can be instilled in any project regardless of size or budget.Some of our recent projects include major hospitals, military, data centers, water and wastewater facilities and lab facility, Bridges, Package distribution warehouses, and cutting-edge scientific research facilities.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Designs power distribution systems, microgrids, lighting systems, etc.Performs Construction Administration services, including review of shop drawings, RFI's and review of contractor proposed change ordersEvaluates feasibility of alternative design approaches in conjunction with senior team membersPerforms site/ field visits to ascertain existing conditions including equipment condition evaluationsOrganizes/plans projects to ensure quality controls and project criteria are met and within budgetAssists in preparing proposals and presenting to ClientsActs as a Deputy Project Manager assisting with workload planningAssists with mentoring of junior staff within the Electrical DepartmentQualificationsMinimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field + 6 years of related experience and/or education or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or educationProfessional Engineering LicensePreferred Qualifications:Proficient in SKM and electrical analysis software8+ years of electrical systems design experienceProficiency using AutoCAD and RevitAbility to interact with others on a multi-discipline teamAbility to work on multiple projects at onceGood time management skills, a strong work ethic and attention to detailPeople management experience a plusNCEES RecordExcellent Communications Skills with the ability to present designs to clientsAdditional Industry Certifications such as LEED AP or CEMAdditional InformationSponsorship is not available for this position now or in the future.At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
