Job Description

Summary

We are seeking an experienced Lead II - Software Testing professional to lead EMV certification activities for mobile checkout payment devices and retail point-of-sale environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in payment systems, EMV certification testing, retail POS platforms, and payment device validation. This role will be responsible for executing certification efforts, validating payment transaction processing, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful certification of payment solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead EMV certification activities for multiple payment devices and payment authorizers.
• Execute, validate, and re-test certification test cases until successful certification is achieved.
• Support certification activities involving payment devices, retail POS systems, and transaction processing environments.
• Utilize Collis certification tools to execute and validate certification test cases.
• Partner with internal development, engineering, and testing teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Configure and support payment device setups required for certification activities.
• Test and validate credit card and payment transactions in retail POS environments.
• Maintain detailed certification records, test logs, documentation, and certification artifacts.
• Investigate defects and coordinate resolution activities with stakeholders.
• Support payment authorization and transaction workflow validation activities.
• Ensure compliance with certification standards, processes, and testing requirements.
• Participate in certification planning, execution, reporting, and issue management activities.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to achieve certification milestones and project objectives.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with EMV certification processes.
• Experience testing payment devices and payment transaction workflows.
• Experience working with retail Point-of-Sale (POS) systems.
• Proficiency using Collis certification and testing tools.
• Experience testing credit card transactions and payment authorization workflows.
• Familiarity with Ingenico payment devices.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
• Experience documenting test execution results and certification artifacts.
• Ability to analyze certification failures and coordinate resolution efforts.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Experience supporting certification environments and payment device configurations.
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced retail technology environments.

Preferred Skills

• Retail industry experience.
• Experience with mobile checkout solutions.
• Knowledge of payment processing systems and payment authorizer integrations.
• Experience with POS certification and end-to-end transaction validation.
• Familiarity with payment compliance standards and certification methodologies.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience will be considered.

Experience

• Proven experience performing EMV certification testing within retail or payment processing environments.
• Experience working with payment devices, payment networks, and POS ecosystems.
• Experience validating transaction processing workflows and certification test cases.
• Demonstrated ability to manage certification activities from planning through successful completion.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional technical and business teams.

Certifications

• EMV-related certifications are a plus.
• Payment industry certifications are preferred.
• Additional software testing or quality assurance certifications are advantageous.
