About the Position

Job Title

Registered Nurse – Neuro/PCU (Stepdown)

Location

Lancaster, SC

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 4x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Neuro/PCU stepdown unit with a 1:4–5 patient ratio
• Monitor and assess neurological and progressive care patients, responding promptly to changes in condition
• Perform telemetry monitoring and interpret cardiac rhythms in accordance with unit protocols
• Document all patient care activities accurately using Epic electronic health records
• Float within scope to meet facility needs, including like units, as required
• Participate in emergency response team assignments as needed, including during hurricane season (June–November)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a Neuro/PCU or stepdown setting
• Active South Carolina RN license or valid Compact license required prior to start date
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• Telemetry competency required
• No first-time travelers; prior travel nursing experience preferred

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Epic electronic health records charting system
• Familiarity with progressive care or stepdown unit workflows and protocols
• Flexibility to accommodate varying unit scheduling needs
