Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch)
California CPT License: Yes - Required Job Summary The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the face of the company to patients and is responsible for collecting quality blood samples and preparing specimens for laboratory testing while following established practices and procedures. The role involves direct patient interaction, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence, explaining procedures, and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner. - Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
- Maintain a safe and professional environment.
- Perform clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing following established procedures.
- Maintain required records and documentation.
- Promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.
- Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
- Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric patients.
- Flexible availability based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime .
- California CPT license required.
- High school diploma or equivalent - Required
- Medical training such as Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
- Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience - Required
- 1+ year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
- Keyboard/data entry experience - Required
