RN - Step Down

Job Opportunity

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a Stepdown Unit, to work night shifts (3x12-hour schedule from 19:00 to 07:00). The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role and must possess current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.

Job Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a nursing role with experience in a stepdown or similar setting.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications must be in hand.
• License: Active Registered Nurse license in California.
• Charting System: Familiarity with the Paragon charting system is preferred; training will be provided.
• Background Checks: Candidates should not have any DUI background hits.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in the Stepdown Unit.
• Monitor and assess patients' conditions and administer medications as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.

Additional Information

Candidates must complete the following courses as part of the onboarding process within the first 30 days of employment:

• Assaultive Behavior Course ($80)
• Fire Card Course ($50)

All candidates will be required to float within the facility as per staffing policies, in accordance with clinical experience.

Work Schedule

This position requires working night shifts, with a 3x12-hour schedule. Flexibility for floating and weekend coverage is required.
