This role is perfect for a Journeyman-level Electrician with specific Instrumentation experience who enjoys working independently and solving complex industrial challenges. Benefits Package: Company Paid!Medical, Dental, Prescription & Vision BenefitsLife, AD&D, and LTD insurancePaid Vacation and HolidaysCompany-Matched 401K and IRA Retirement SavingsSchedule & CompensationShift: Rotating Night Shift (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM).Hours: Week 1: 36 hours | Week 2: 48 hours (including every other weekend).Overtime: Additional OT is available and based on customer need.Pay: Competitive rates based on experience.What You'll Do:Diagnose & Repair: Inspect, test, and troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation components; repair or update outdated systems.Install & Layout: Handle conduit and cable tray layouts, switchgear installation, and iron frame breaker maintenance.Advanced Systems: Work with Wye-Delta starters, soft starts, VFDs, and heat tracing/freeze protection.Safety & Compliance: Ensure all work meets NFPA 70E standards and local/federal codes; adhere to OSHA and Wachter safety protocols.Documentation: Read and interpret electrical drawings, single lines, and P&IDs.What We're Looking For:Experience: Proven background as a Journeyman Level Commercial or Industrial Electrician with Instrumentation knowledge (Flow meters, Digital valves, Analog instruments).Technical Skills: Proficient in grounding systems, CAD welding, lighting circuits (120v-480v), and general PLC knowledge.Tool Proficiency: Skilled with threading equipment, hydraulic benders, voltage meters, ammeters, and meggers.Certifications: Ability to operate boom/scissor lifts and work at heights.Requirements:Valid Driver's License (Clean record; no DUI/DWI in the last 3 years).Must pass drug and background screenings.Reliable transportation and basic hand tools/PPE.Ability to work in various temperatures/environments.Soft Skills for SuccessOutstanding troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.Excellent communication and customer relationship skills.$35 - $52 an hour Based on experience.Wachter is a family-owned company since 1930 and we see each employee as a critical piece of the Wachter Family.
